Adam Frank, president of shopping center developer River Oaks Properties, told El Paso Inc. Friday that Panera Bread was expected to open by the end of the year.

“Part of our mission at River Oaks is to bring new and exciting tenants to the El Paso market,” Frank said. “West Towne has been very successful, and we have turned down successful tenants to bring new and exciting things. I think Panera fits that description perfectly.”

Tuesday Morning, a national discount home goods retailer, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in February, and Frank said the space it occupied at West Towne will be taken over by a Michaels store. The center, he said, is nearly 100% occupied.
